Adjudicators

Format

Vocal Jazz Choralfest is pleased to offer you the following format for each day of this years’ event:

• A 30 minute warm-up will precede the performance in a separate room.
• Ensembles have 30 minutes on stage (including set-up, performance, adjudication, and stage re-set) followed by a 30 minute clinic in a separate room.
• A Mini-Concert will be held during the lunch break.

We hope that ensembles will plan to spend at least a ½ day or one full day at the venue. We would love to see the audience full of singers cheering each other on, learning from each other and from the adjudicators.

• Registrations are NON-REFUNDABLE and must be accompanied by payment or they will not be processed.
• Faxed applications will not be accepted unless they are accompanied by credit card information.

Entry Deadline

• Entries must be received by the MCA office no later than 5 PM, Friday, October 8, 2010.

Scheduling

• Scheduling requests will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
• A preliminary schedule will be e-mailed on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. At this time, directors have one week to facilitate any changes independently. The MCA office must be notified of all changes before Wednesday, October 20, 2010.
• The final schedule will be released on Monday, October 25, 2010.

Registration Fees (Vocal Jazz Ensembles)

• MCA Members - $170
• Non Members - $200
• Additional ensembles under the same director within the same organization are $30 less.

MCA Membership Fees

• Church Choir Membership $40
• Choir Membership $80
• 2 Choirs (within the same organization) $100
• 3 or more Choirs (within the same organization) $125

MusicFest Canada

Although ChoralFest is non-competitive, adjudicators may recommend choirs to represent Manitoba at the national festival, MusicFest Canada.
