Why
tour to Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA July 4-9, 2011?
Check
out the reasons...
GUEST CONDUCTORS:
ROLLO DILWORTH & HENRY LECK!
Imagine! These two world class choral professionals at the same
festival for children and youth singers to experience!
Doesn't happen very often (if ever!) with both Dilworth
& Leck at the same festival! The repertoire will be
very exciting! Don't miss the opportunity!
LOCATION:
Vancouver & the surrounding area is a spectacular natural
setting with ocean and mountains and so many marvelous west coast
attractions. In the Opening Ceremonies of the
world's largest winter sporting event of 2010, Vancouver was described
as a "gleaming pacific emerald"! You will want to explore the
legacy of remarkable new facilities, the beautiful parks, and the ocean
points of interest!
HOSPITALITY & FESTIVAL ORANIZATION! BC KNOWS HOW TO
"WELCOME THE WORLD!"
All the details that make a festival tour successful will be well taken
care of by the Coastal Sound Festival team of volunteers and staff.
The '09 CSI Choral Festival was a resounding success - so our
ideas for 2011 are being refined and renewed to make the experience
even more rewarding for the participating conductors and choirs!
DON'T BE DISAPPOINTED: 12 choirs only. Application deadline
is July 1, 2010.
For more information and application form, visit the Coastal Sound
International Choral Festival website.

Balfour,

to celebrate a fascinating range of music. Medieval Inuit offers
traditional Inuit songs and throat singing from Madeleine and her
partner for this event, Sylvia
Cloutier;
songs passed down from generation to generation shared by elders
Elisapie Ootova and the late Minnie Allakariallak, Madeleine's
grandmother; medieval music coinciding with the time when Europeans and
the Inuit first met; early Scandinavian and Icelandic folksongs and
arrangements of Inuit folk songs by Balfour. read more
