In the Caribbean there is a propagation of music festivals, but there are few or practically non-existent music festivals which cater to the many singers and chorales in this region. The 100 Voice Project has been conceptualized to enhance the choral artistry in Barbados and the wider Caribbean. It is also ideal where the Caribbean offers a hub for persons on either side of the Atlantic to join in this vocal thread. The 100 Voice Project also aims to create and demonstrate the belief that persons of differ- ent backgrounds and cultures can sing in the universal language of music and do so in phe- nomenal harmony. Furthermore the type of music performed should be of a high caliber and each singer and musician proficient in their art. Persons who also contribute to this 100 Voice Project are also encouraged to bring along a little trinket (e.g key ring) which may be ex- changed with some person who they will meet for the first time from another country, and this should add some camaraderie. The 100 Voice Project is also unique since the Caribbean and the creativity brought by the colour of the Caribbean as well as the ocean, adds some subtle nuances to the blend of the voices, making the inspiration of such an occa- sion extraordinary.
