Parkinson Choir

Music Director and Accompanist

Conductors and pianists are invited to apply for Musical Director and Accompanist for a new choir designed for persons living with Parkinson's disease and their family members.

Persons living with Parkinson's often experience voice and communication issues. Recent information has shown the benefits of participation in a Parkinson Choir.

We are seeking a Musical Director with compassion and patience as well as talent and organizational skills. The position requires a balance of musical abilities, a desire to teach and expand the capabilities of the group, and ....a sense of humour. We seek a pianist to complement these qualities.

The choir program has been developed with support from Parkinson Canada, U-Turn Parkinson’s and the speech language pathologist at the Movement Disorder Clinic.

It is expected that the choir will commence in early 2018 with a daytime rehearsal, on a weekly basis.

The positions will be volunteer positions with the possibility of future funding.

Interested parties should contact U-Turn Parkinson's at info@UTurnPD.org, by December 31, 2017, and provide a current resume. For further information contact U-Turn Parkinson’s.
