The Manitoba Choral Association (MCA) is seeking an Executive Director to be hired on a full-time permanent basis following the successful completion of a six-month probationary period.
The candidate will have experience in arts administration and communications for the not-for-profit / charity sector. Working closely with the MCA Board, the Executive Director will be responsible for the successful delivery of MCA programming and services including, but not limited to, Manitoba Choralfest, Provincial Honour Choir, professional development programs, and the MCA Library. The Executive Director will be expected to organize, market and manage events, solicit funding, and complete reporting requirements according to procedure and within budgetary and strategic guidelines.
Applicants should have a post-secondary degree or equivalent experience in arts management and communications. Applicants will be expected to have excellent computer, verbal and written communications skills. They will be fluent in social media platforms and show discernment and maturity in communicating with, and expanding, MCA membership and media followers.
Founded in 1976, the Manitoba Choral Association is a non-profit organization that provides resources and creates opportunities for all Manitoba residents to experience and enjoy choral music. MCA provides a range of programs and services to Manitoba choirs that encourage participation in the choral arts, singing through the lifespan, professional development, youth leadership, and choral advocacy.
