Prairie Voices seeks Executive Director

Prairie Voices Inc. is looking for a part-time, home-based Executive Director to head up our team.

Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with Prairie Voices Inc., Manitoba Choral Association, and the larger Manitoba choral community
  • Experience in event and concert management with a focus on choral music
  • Ability to meet deadlines with little or no supervision
  • Ability to create and maintain documents of a sensitive nature as per PIPEDA
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on alumni, donor and community relations
  • Skilled in written and oral communication
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Knowledge of legislation and organizational structure of not-for-profits
  • Knowledge or background in financial management and ability to remain on budget
  • Background in the arts with a focus on music considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education considered an asset
  • Background in grant writing and donor relations considered an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day running of the organization, including attending all board meetings
  • Coordinate volunteers 
  • Research and complete grant applications
  • Maintain alumni, donor and community relations
  • Coordinate events including concerts, tours, fundraisers
  • Manage finances in conjunction with PVI treasurer
  • Oversee public relations and branding including social media management
