Chorister Recruitment – Open Rehearsals
May 16, 23, 30, 2017
6 – 8 p.m.
North Kildonan Mennonite Church
1131 Roch Street, North Kildonan

The Winnipeg Children’s Choir was formed in 2008 to continue the work of its predecessor, The Winnipeg Mennonite Children’s Choir.  Judy Neufeld Urbonas, former chorister, alumnus and Assistant Director to WMCC’s Founder, Helen Litz, is joined by Kimberly Lind, Assistant Director and Arlene Neufeld, Accompanist, to provide a unique music-making experience to children aged 8-18.

The choir is holding open rehearsals three Tuesdays in May to allow interested singers to attend any or all three to see for themselves what a rehearsal entails. Interested singers will join the choir and take part in the experience.  Parents who wish to are welcome to sit in the back of the room and watch the rehearsal.  Directors will be available for questions at the end of the practice.

We are looking for more choristers who:

  • Love to sing
  • Are committed to attendance, participation and willingness to learn challenging music
  • Have parents who support our mission
