Sing in Carnegie Hall

Experienced Choristers

Pierre Perron, former professor of Music Education at Dalhousie University in Halifax, has been invited to bring a choir to sing Scott Macmillan’s CELTIC MASS FOR THE SEA in Carnegie Hall, New York City, on May 25, 2015. CORRECTION: The date is actually Saturday, May 23, 2015. 

The Land Package cost is US $789, which includes MidAmerica Production’s complete organization of this concert but does not include airfare or accommodation.  Experienced choristers are expected to learn the music on their own with a CD, and are invited to contact pperron@dal.ca or Prof. Perron at 902-425-5205 for more information.  The deadline for applications is October 15, 2014. 

Joie de Vivre

Joie de Vivre is a mixed adult community choir that has been making music for fifteen years. Singers of all levels of experience are welcome; there is no audition. There is quite a range of repertoire, from opera choruses to “pop” songs, with spirituals, other sacred songs and a few classical pieces along the way. Regular Saturday morning rehearsals are at 10:00 in St. John Brebeuf School Gymnasium, on Renfrew Street one block south of Corydon Avenue.

Auditioning singers for all sections

The Winnipeg Singers, one of Canada's premiere choral ensembles will be auditioning singers for all sections for the 2014-15 season.   We hold a four concert series plus one fundraising event.
